Bornedries
Bornedries — BD to its regulars — is a parenclub on the edge of Sint-Truiden, in Belgian Limburg, and has been welcoming guests since 1983. It describes itself as a discreet and stylish meeting place for couples and curious adults, and counts more than 20,000 members.
The house is a large one: a bar and disco where the DJs play to the night's theme; a restaurant with a four-course hot and cold self-service buffet, always with a vegetarian dish; 22 themed rooms which, in the club's own words, run from tame to extreme, among them an erotic cinema and a mirror room; a wellness area with sauna, hammam and jacuzzi; and, in summer, BD Beach — a pool and what the club calls the largest naturist beach in the country.
The club opens three days a week, each weekend under one theme. Friday (7pm – 3am) and Sunday (3pm – midnight) are open to couples, single women and single men; Saturday (7pm – 3am) is billed as couples only, with no entry for single men. Entry is all-in, drinks and buffet included, and there is nothing to book. Arrive neatly dressed and change at your locker: inside, the dress code is lingerie or sheer wear for women and boxers or briefs for men, and after 10pm the bar serves no one who is still dressed. First time? Say so at reception, and someone will show you round. As the club puts it, you always decide what you do — and what you don't.

The week at the house
Each weekend carries one theme across all three days — this October brings Night Nurse, the club's anniversary weekend, Rewind (the best of the 80s, 90s and 00s on Sundays), a Newbie Night for first-timers on Saturday 24 October, and Halloween. Guests may stay until a quarter of an hour before closing.

You may arrive in everyday clothes, provided they are neat, and change at your locker. Sexy wear is always required in the rooms and the relaxation area, and after 10pm the bar does not serve anyone who is still dressed.
Good to know
- Minimum age 18, with a valid ID — and you need to be comfortable in Dutch, French or English.
- Single men are welcome on Fridays and Sundays, but may be turned away to keep a balance with the couples and single women present; groups of single men are refused.
- First visit? Tell reception, and someone will give you a tour and explain the evening.
- Couples who arrive together are expected to stay mostly together and to leave together.
- Phones are banned everywhere except in a dedicated phone room next to the cloakroom.
- Shower before entering the erotic spaces — towels, shampoo and soap are free — and condoms are mandatory except with your own steady partner.
